Help Shape the Future of Stadia
Mar 18, 2019
With Stadia, we are committed to building a great end-to-end experience. We do this by conducting user experience research to ensure that we build our platform tools and features thoughtfully, engaging at all stages of the product development process. This includes everything from conducting exploratory research at the beginning of the product lifecycle, so that we can understand our developers’ workflows, to providing data-driven feedback on designs for Stadia’s development teams, to measuring our success after we launch a feature.

As head of our partner-facing research team, I lead a diverse and talented group of user experience (UX) researchers. We draw on our backgrounds in psychology, engineering, communication, and human-computer interaction to better understand our developers’ use cases and gather insights into how they use the Stadia platform so that we can build it to meet their real needs. Our job is to ensure that Stadia’s design, product management, and engineering teams deeply understand our developers’ goals and workflows. By doing so, we can build innovative solutions that ensure a great experience developing on Stadia.
Conducting UX research allows the Stadia team to:
- Build platform tools and features that are useful and provide value to developers on the platform
- Make informed decisions about which features to build and how to build them
- Ensure these features are seamless and easy to use
- Minimize risk & re-development time for both the Stadia team and our partners
